Co-Counsel for Divorce and Custody Cases

I join divorce and custody cases involving complex finances, digital evidence, and technology-related abuse, from discovery through trial. Lawyers bring me in for a defined part of a case or for trial while they keep the client relationship.

When to bring me in

  • A disputed recording, text thread, or screenshot that could decide a custody issue.
  • Suspected spyware, location tracking, or unauthorized account access.
  • Business interests, equity compensation, or cryptocurrency that need tracing or valuation work.
  • A hearing or trial where the team needs added courtroom capacity.

How engagements work

  • Case assessment. A defined review of the file and a written litigation plan.
  • Responsibility for a phase or issue. For example, a discovery dispute, evidence motions, deposition preparation, or a specific hearing.
  • Trial representation. Lead or co-lead responsibility for a substantial part of the trial or the whole case.

Each engagement has its own written scope and budget, and starts with a conflict check.

Outside Illinois

I am licensed in Illinois. I have been admitted pro hac vice in Texas state court and in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas (2026), and granted temporary admission in Indiana (2019), each time working with local counsel.

Representation in another state depends on that state's admission rules and is handled alongside local counsel.
